How much does it cost to see the Oilers in Edmonton, is it similar to Toronto? |

I love how every game it's blame it on the grinders and now it's the grinders and te ref's. The Oilers can't score unless they're on the PP, you suck, deal with it. A junior team can't beat an NHL team. Schultz is not Bobby Orr, he's a rookie. Yakupov is not the savior in his rookie year. This team is still rebuilding, they're going to suck.
The Oil have boatloads of talent up front and someone needs to go to bring in assets to even the balance and it's got to be one of the one million untouchables that Edmonton apparently has. |

Tencer and Brown reeling a bit after the Kreuger post-game comments. Didn't hear it but they cited a moment in the interview where he was bordering on the Swiss coach - protecting while being down a goal.
That IS a little scary.

' The Oilers are the worst team in the league. '
No, they are not. Florida is worse, and so too is Colorado. Hell, I would put Buffalo at being worse. Columbus I will not, they are a better team than their record reflects.
Smyth- was done last yr. Why he is still in the league is beyond me.
Dubnyk- the ONLY FREAKING REASON the Oil are not in the playoff position now. The team as constructed now, with an established #1, would be a playoff team. Though, this was the concern from the first puck drop.
Here is my question- could they trade for Ryan Miller? And if so, what would the Oil fans be willing to give up? If you ask me, now would be the time to strike, with Miller not having a Vezina yr.

Exactly, it's called a rebuild, most people are willing to demand one, very few are willing to live through it, as this blogger has shown. Just gotta wait it out, the future is bright , but right now there's not much anyone can do to turn the team around fast, unless fans are willing to see one of their 5 untouchable players get dealt. Until the main guys turn into the players they are projected to be, this team will struggle. |

A lot of synergy to Jeremy Roenick, eh? Both quit in LA, both went to another team, both became fossils in their new locale all the while tarnishing their history just a tad. |

Not being able to score at even strength has nothing to do with Dubnyk. |

Dubnyk has been very solid some nights and pretty meh others. Obviously not what you want in a starter but he is not the only reason keeping us out of playoffs |

So, that whole "we'll suck and just go for the #1 overall pick for a few years, then be really good and kick everyone's ass" thing, ... I'm guessing that's not the plan now?
Don't get me wrong, it looks great on paper - but in practice, it's a painful thing and can take years to come to fruition. In the meantime, you find out just how patient you can be at dealing with losing on a regular basis: your patience tends to run out faster than you thought it would. |

Interesting.
Hasn't been great lately but dude we wasted more then a few good outings from earlier.
What kills me is they come and have a real nice game against Dallas and then proceed to lose four straight, and it's the way they're losing - maybe the Dallas win was a mirage b/c they are being totally outworked.
I'm wondering if they are now TOO worried about playing system/ smart hockey...
fukk knows, as patient as I am with the rebuild this is gross. |

Dubey had a .917 before tonight. And a .926 in tonight's game. How in hell, is Dubey the problem in a 3-0 loss??? Dubey didn't score that 1 single (frank)ing goal!!!!!?!?!???
I give up on life

Trust me, the patience is here. after 7 years tho i dont think you can blame fans for being upset. |
